PROJECT SCHEDULER Employed by CB&A Project Management of Birmingham as a contractor to Southern Company’s Farley Nuclear Plant. Initially served as the project scheduler for the final phases of the NRC’s mandated Severe Accident Management plan. Worked closely with Site Projects, Site Design, Work Week, Corporate and Outage management personnel to improve Project Scheduling best practices involving Site Design, Site Engineering, Project Planning, Work Week Planning and Outage Scheduling. Primarily assigned to larger cyber security upgrade, electrical and instrumentation, and radiation monitor replacement projects utilizing an integrated Maximo/Primavera P6 database driven planning and scheduling system. Also, helped in developing a new Earned Value Management system, while collaterally laying the foundation for Site Projects collaboration with Corporate entities using SharePoint. Also, improved management and outage reporting practices by developing custom Excel Power Query and Access database applications with an eye toward improved Business Intelligence. Completed three major refueling outages.
LEAD EPC PLANNER AND PROJECT CONTROLS MANAGER Facilitated the planning and coordinating of the engineering, procurement, and construction proposal and project master schedules for the Power and Industrial business unit. Provided peer coordination and integrated project planning, centered on P6 scheduling functions. Ensured successful project controls, procedural compliance, and the utilization of industry standard practices with project managers, design leads, purchasing, subcontracts and site supervisory personnel. Served as Project Controls Manager in charge of developing Boiler Division workflow, project controls software tools, and Microsoft Project schedules integrated with earned value, change management, and cost engineering. Most recently involved in the promotion and implementation of a 4D scheduling initiative with Navisworks Simulate.
E&I MANAGER/PLANNER/SUPERINTENDENT Prior to KBR acquisition, site master scheduler, cost engineer, NCCER certified instructor and E&I planner in support of the Industrial Services contract with International Paper, Courtland, Alabama, for both maintenance and capital projects assigned by the client’s 36 hourly planners and engineers, completing five major outages. Duties included the team building of all hourly craft superintendents, which extended from the development and implementation of workflow procedures and best practices. Collaterally served as primary manager of Electrical and Instrumentation in charge of the E&I Superintendent when staffed; otherwise, functioned as interim E&I Superintendent.
